My Story
I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't gone back to college in 2019. I've always thought to myself that I'm not an academic. After working a job that paid decent money without much effort, I felt unsatisfied with my future. Now, there is so much effort that goes into my work, and money is not my primary goal, or I would have chosen a different career path, haha!
Anyway, I started waitressing and going to community college. I developed a passion for the arts and decided that my goal was to be an artist. The idea of making art as a career lingered in my mind after meeting artists over the years, but I never thought it was possible. I had never taken art classes before college because I was insecure about expressing myself creatively. I'm so grateful that I've been able to surround myself with highly talented artists at school and in the community. My work is inspired by the beauty and complexity of the natural world. I also hold other ideas in conversation with nature within my practice.
